A Brief Introduction & Overview of the Association
The Mission of (ACASC)
The specific purpose of this organization is to provide culturally sensitive funeral services with the highest level of competence, courtesy, and compassion to the members of the Afghan Community Association of Southern California and qualified individuals in our community who can’t afford funeral expenses.
- Burial Cost Assistance Program (BCAP): To serve the religious and spiritual needs of vulnerable Afghan American individuals and families by providing financial assistance for burial services aligned with our religious and cultural values. Burial Cost Assistance Program covers the cost of funeral services, including transfer of the deceased from the place of death, burial plot, and opening and closing service.
- To preserve the culture and heritage of the Afghan-American and the new Afghan refugee communities of Southern California
Since its inception in 1991, the Afghan Community Association of Southern California has served hundreds of Afghan families by providing financial assistance and emotional guidance to families in mourning.
