Afghan Refugees Housed in Santa Clarita Are Searching Home Away From Home

Afghan refugees fled the country last summer in fear for their lives after American troops pulled out of the country. Months later, they are searching for a home in Southern California. In a Los Angeles County suburb, the Santa Clarita Islamic Center and the King Fahad Mosque helps Afghan refugees access food and supplies and the College of the Canyons offer free language and citizenship classes. USC Annenberg reporter Chrissa Loukas speaks with several community organizations to understand these refugees’ next steps.
